The Puerto Rico IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence is honored to host the 2021 Southeast Regional IDeA Conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico on November 12-14, 2021. The Regional Conference has served as an important platform for faculty, postdoctoral, and student scientists of the Southeastern IDeA States and Puerto Rico to discuss matters of science, administrative policy, and best practices in a cordial and interactive scholarly environment.

Day 1

SEIDeA 2021 - SouthEast Regional IDeA 2021 Meeting

Take time to settle in and network with colleagues and Program Officials in the afternoon. We will kick off this historic 2021 Southeast Regional IDeA Conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico with an informative evening session and Plenary Speaker presentation.

Day 2

Concurrent sessions throughout the day will cover topics of Community Engagement and Health Disparities, MultiOmic Research Approaches, Bioinformatics and Data Science, Collaborative Research in IDeA states, Neuroscience, and Clinical Research, highlighted with a Plenary Speaker presentation and Poster Sessions in the afternoon.

Day 3

Keynote Speakers will address topics on Entrepreneurship in our Region. A Data Science Workshop and an R15 Program Update with Panel Discussion will round off this program. Recognition Awards will be presented to students, postdocs and faculty for their outstanding performance during the conference.
